01Why this notepad
Notes, not apps.
Four reasons people open this tab instead of installing yet another notes tool.
- 01
Distraction-free writing
A clean canvas, no ads, no toolbars fighting for your attention. Open the tab, start typing.
- 02
Multi-note sidebar
Keep separate notes side by side without juggling tabs. Switch instantly, search across them, never lose a draft.
- 03
Markdown shortcuts
Type ** for bold, # for headings, - for lists. Familiar markdown without parsing — clean text comes out.
- 04
Saved on your device, not ours
Notes live in your browser's localStorage. They survive page reloads, but never travel to a server. Private by default.
02How it works
Type, organize, export.

03Use cases
Where the notepad fits.
Daily scratch, meeting minutes, drafts, journaling — anywhere a quick blank page belongs.
Scratch pad for the workday
Standup notes, meeting takeaways, calls. Quick capture you don't need to file away into a 'real' tool.

Type the agenda before the call, capture decisions during, export to PDF after. No Notion login required.
Standing meeting · weekly agendaDrafting a long email
Spare yourself the recipient-line slip and write the message here first. Refine, then paste into the mail client.
Sensitive email · draft offlineReading notes and highlights
Reading a long article? Capture quotes and reactions next to the page. Export later to share with a study group.
Article notes · cited quotesQuick PDF from plain text
Need a one-page handout? Type it, format with markdown shortcuts, export PDF. Faster than firing up Word or Pages.

04Quick tips
Use the notepad well.
Four small habits that turn 'scratch tab' into 'reliable scratch tab'.
- 01
Pin one note per project
If you have a recurring topic, dedicate a note to it. The sidebar makes the multi-note pattern actually scale beyond two.
- 02
Notes are not synced
Storage is local to this browser. Use the export buttons before clearing site data, switching machines, or sharing across devices.
- 03
Markdown lives, content stays plain
Shortcuts make formatting fast, but exported text is plain. Useful when you'll paste into different systems that interpret markdown differently.
- 04
Auto-save means no Cmd+S panic
Every keystroke writes to localStorage. Refresh the tab and you're back where you left off — no save reminder needed.
05Loved by
PMs, students, and therapists.
My daily scratch pad. Stand-up notes, call summaries, the next idea before it slips. Cleaner than Slack drafts, simpler than Notion.
Lecture notes during seminars. Multi-note sidebar means each course has its own page without switching apps.
Short journaling reflections between clients. The 'stays on your device' note matters in my work; I trust it for that reason.
06Questions
Notes, plainly answered.
Questions before your first paragraph. Missing one? hello@wirelogs.com.
01Where are notes stored?
In your browser's localStorage on this device. They survive refreshing, closing the tab, or restarting your browser — but they're not synced to a server or another device.
02Can I export my notes?
Yes. Use the PDF export to share a formatted version, or copy-paste plain text directly. Both buttons live near the title.
03What happens if I clear browser data?
Notes go away with everything else in localStorage. Export anything important first if you're about to clear site data.
04Does this work offline?
Yes — once the page is loaded. You can keep typing without an internet connection. Saving and exporting both work entirely in your browser.
05Is it really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no usage cap, no watermark.
06Can other people see my notes?
No. Storage is local to your browser on your device. Wirelogs never sees the text you type.
Ready when you are
Open the blank page.
Start typing above. Notes auto-save to your device — export to PDF when something's worth sharing.
