What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device to remember information about you. We also use similar technologies such as localStoragefor the same purposes. In this policy, “cookies” refers to all such technologies.
The categories we use
1. Strictly necessary
These are required for the site to work. They remember your cookie choices, your theme (light/dark) and other essential preferences. They never need consent.
- wirelogs-theme — light/dark theme (localStorage)
- wirelogs-consent — your cookie preferences (localStorage, ~12 months)
2. Analytics
Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Data is aggregated and IP addresses are anonymized.
- _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics 4, up to 2 years
3. Advertising
Used to serve ads and measure their performance. With your consent, ads may be personalized to your interests; without consent, only non-personalized ads are shown in regions that require consent.
- __gads, __gpi, IDE — Google AdSense, up to 13 months
Managing your preferences
In the EEA, UK, Switzerland and other regions that require consent, we show a cookie banner the first time you visit. You can change your choices at any time using the button below.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers let you control cookies per site. Note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
Third-party cookies
When you consent to analytics or advertising cookies, third parties (Google) may set cookies in your browser under their own policies:
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no industry-agreed standard, we do not currently respond to DNT, but we respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where applicable and treat them as an opt-out of sharing for advertising purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the cookies we use change. The “Last updated” date above shows when the latest revision took effect. For the legal background, see our Privacy Policy.
